Leftover Stuffing Waffles are apparently a thing! That’s right you can reheat leftover stuffing in your waffle maker. I was a little skeptical of this since I tried reheating leftover fried rice in my waffle make, like I saw on some YouTube videos and that was a disaster. I think I almost lost a filling trying to chew it! Now stuffing on the other hand works much better!
All you do is preheat your waffle maker and spray it with some cooking spray. Then just pile on the stuffing covering the whole surface of the bottom iron. Press down the lid and let it do it’s thing till you get the desired texture.
Removing the waffle is a little difficult because it’s very delicate and wants to tear. Once you get it on your plate let it cool. It will firm up. I wish I had waited a little long because I could’ve cut the triangles in half lengthwise and made bite-sized sandwiches. Once cool the waffle holds together well and you can pick it up with your hands.
What I ended up doing (see picture) was I made kind of an open-faced Thanksgiving Day sandwiches. I placed mashed potatoes on top of the stuffing waffle piece followed by some roasted chicken and topped that with a slice of cranberry sauce. I warmed up some store bought gravy as a dipping sauce. It was really good! I do think smaller portions will be much better, but the proof of concept is there! You can reheat your leftover stuffing in the waffle maker for sure!
